Wirecutting hydraulic actuator

Cameron's line of SSS surface safety system actuators includes the WireMaster wirecutting hydraulic actuator, which provides fail-safe gate valve closure during extended wireline work.

The WireMaster actuator accommodates valve sizes from 2 through 7 in, valve working pressures up to 10,000 psi [689 bar], and control pressures up to 6,000 psi [414 bar].

The actuator utilizes a coiled spring package modeled after our Model CSWC hydraulic actuator for its reliable wirecutting capabilities. The design also incorporates the patented Quick-Disconnect bonnet feature, which permits installation or removal of the actuator without depressurizing the gate valve. In addition, the gate valve or production tree can be handled, shipped, or installed without the actuators in place for your convenience.

  • Rising stem provides visual indication of valve position
  • Dual coil spring design generates sufficient force to pull the gate closed and shear 3/16 in wireline or 7/32 in braided cable
  • Fire seal includes a bonnet assembly that incorporates the same metal-to-metal backseat design as our standard product line and will afford protection against packing blowouts in the event of a fire
  • Nonelastomeric bonnet seal design provides superior sealing in harsh environments and eliminates the problems associated with produced fluids contacting elastomeric seals

The WireMaster actuator is designed to accept a wide range of accessories, including electric limit switches, clear stem protectors, heat-sensitive lockout caps, and manual openers.
