Drilling choke valves manage wellbore pressure to maintain control in the event of a gas kick, circulate out the kick, and prevent loss of well control. Our range includes needle-and-seat, gate-and-seat, and multiple orifice valve rotating-disc-type chokes, as well as the CAM30-DC choke, which offers the versatility to switch between various trim styles for greater control and erosion resistance. Each drilling choke is designed and manufactured for hydrogen sulfide and abrasive fluid applications where kick control, well testing, well cleanup, and other capabilities are required.
Chokes are available with a range of pressure ratings and are also suitable for underbalanced and managed pressure drilling (MPD) applications. Specially designed consoles enable accurate pressure control. Remotely operated, electrically actuated choke and console systems are ideally suited for cold temperatures and harsh environments, while advanced well control applications that require a large orifice and functionality within HPHT drilling environments are also catered for.
