ScanWin 32
In November 2017 Cameron introduced ScanWin 32 Configuration Software, an essential PC-based application used to interface with the CAMERON Scanner models 1130, 1131, 1140, and 1141 flow computers. This new software is a 32 bit format designed to operate in Windows 7 and later. ScanWin 32 provides the user interface to perform; the application configuration of the Scanner EFM/RTU’s functions and hardware, routine maintenance operations, manual download and view historical data, and monitor Scanner activities in real-time.

Careful attention has been paid in the design of ScanWin 32 configuration software to ensure that users find the transition to ScanWin 32 configuration software as effortless as possible. Specifically we have maintained consistency in the look and feel to maintain user confidence and avoid errors or uncertainty which would require the necessity to retrain. While this remains the underlying objective ScanWin 32 configuration software will selectively utilize modern Windows appearances to enhance the user experience.

Previous ScanWin configuration software licenses will require replacement. Scanner hardware and ScanWin 32 support are available on a fee for service basis.

Scanner 1140 & Scanner 1141 – Now Obsolete
The successful CAMERON Scanner Model 1140 and 1141 flow computers are single and dual stream measurement and control RTUs that were discontinued in September 2016. The Cameron Scanner 2000 and 3100 replace these models. With the large installed base Cameron continues support existing installations of the 1140 and 1141 with replacement circuit boards and the DPE+ multivariable sensors. In addition, in November 2017 Cameron introduced ScanWin 32 a new version of the PC based user interface software designed for Windows 7 and higher. Scanner hardware and ScanWin 32 support are available on a fee for service basis.

Scanner 1131
This EFM/RTU provides custody transfer measurement data and control functions to gas transmission markets. Through utilization of multi-drop serial communication multivariable transmitters, or by the use of the generous inputs and outputs of the main circuit board the Scanner Model 1131 flow computer is able to compute up to nine flow streams. In addition to these capacities the main circuit board may be fitted with two expansion boards providing a variety of additional communication ports including Ethernet, plus frequency inputs, status inputs and outputs. Field mounted enclosures may also be fitted with multivariable transducers or pressure only transmitters.

The exacting calculations and measurement audit trail within this Scanner meets the requirements of API chapter 21, Measurement Canada custody transfer regulations and the requirements of various regional authorities.

Data is extracted from the Scanner Model 1131 flow computer using highly efficient and secure ScanCom, communications protocol that is available simultaneous to popular ModBus protocols.

Designed for Class 1 Division 1 and Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous locations, the Scanner Model 1131 flow computer is offered in field mount and rack mount configurations. Field mount location versions can be either wall or pipe mounted. A Solar panel may be used to charge a sealed, air transportable, gelled, lead-acid battery ensuring an intrinsically safe, low powered operating system.

Scanner 1140

Designed specifically for Class 1 Division 1 and Division 2 hazardous areas adjacent to pipeline or production equipment. Housed in a weather proof fiberglass reinforced plastic enclosure, the unit can be either wall or pipe mounted. Solar panel charges a sealed, air transportable, gelled, lead-acid battery ensuring an intrinsically safe, low powered operating system.

  • Stores up to 60 days (hourly and daily) flow history with an audit trail of all events, alarms and user changes. (API Chapter 21 Compliance)
  • Can be configured on-site or remotely using step-by-step menus in a familiar Windows™ environment. The ability to save configuration files to disk and then ‘restore’ the file to other units in the field simplifies commissioning and reduces human error
  • Data can be downloaded on-site or transmitted via radio, dial-up modem, cellular modem, or satellite to a central location. Any Div. 2-certified radio or modem can be used with the Scanner Model 1140. Contact factory for details
  • While capable of accepting inputs from low power transmitters, RTDs and pulse-producing devices, a direct interface to a DPE+ multi-variable transducer provides low cost measurement for both static and differential pressure in a single device. Hardware integration lowers capital and installation costs
  • A field-retrofittable expansion board provides additional inputs/outputs and an extra serial port for communications to the NUFLO MVX-II Multi-Variable Transmitter for dual stream applications

Scanner 1141

While the Scanner Model 1141 can accept inputs from low-power transmitters, RTDs and pulse-producing devices, an optional highly accurate and stable multivariable transducer (MVT) provides low-cost measurement of static and differential pressure. Factory-integrated devices such as the MVT reduce capital and installation costs. Significant features of the Scanner Model 1141 includes:

  • A field-retrofittable expansion board provides additional inputs/outputs for system expansion
  • Serial ports can be configured as Modbus® masters for communicating with devices like the NUFLO MVX-II series transmitters, enabling dual-stream measurement
  • Local displays are clear and large
  • Highly efficient and secure ScanCom communications protocol is available in addition to popular Modbus protocols.
